BJEC has carried out the EIA business since 1982, and is one of the first batch of enterprises with Class-A certification in EIA. At present, its business covers EIA, environmental protection acceptance, environmental supervision, post-assessment of environmental impacts, design of fish protection facilities, design of sewage and waste water treatment, and related scientific research of the planning and construction for the hydropower and water resources projects, and won many honors. In addition to EIA works for hydropower projects, BJEC has focused on EIA of water resources projects and conducted EIA works for “172 major water resources projects”.

Suwalong phase I fish breeding and releasing station：it undertakes the breeding and releasing of rare and protected fish species in Suwalong and Batang hydropower stations. The total releasing scale is 750,000 fish/year, and 7 species of rare and protected fish are bred in the upper reaches of Jinsha River.
