In 1996, BJEC was one of the first-batch enterprises qualified with Class-A certification issued by the Ministry of Water Resources for developing the soil and water conservation scheme. The business areas include the development of soil and water conservation scheme; design, monitoring and supervision of soil and water conservation; soil and water conservation facility acceptance; and stability assessment and safety monitoring of spoil area. Since the completion of soil and water conservation schemes for Dachaoshan hydropower station, Xilongchi pumped storage power station and other large-sized hydropower projects in 2000, BJEC has undertaken the soil and water conservation schemes, monitoring and acceptance of the construction for projects of hydropower and water resources, new energy, real estate and transportation. In recent years, BJEC has undertaken the emerging businesses such as the stability assessment of spoil areas in Chaohe section of the middle-route phase-Ⅰ of the south-to-north water transfer project, and the safety monitoring of spoil areas in Chaohe section of the middle-route trunk line of south-to-north water transfer project.
